Dr. Lori Gordon, a Colon & Rectal Physician, and Dr. John Fewins, an ENT Physician, will share an industrial style building in the Medical District. IDG worked closely with Urban Bobcats Architects, to create a modern colorful work environment for the joined practices. The designers carried the industrial materials from the exterior – corrugated metal siding and tie rod supported canopies – inside to the waiting area. In order to alleviate the “bus station” effect of a 40 chair waiting room, IDG organized groups of seating, screened with trough planters. This greenery coupled with brightly colored upholstery and accent walls dispel the typical look of a medical office.
